Ingredients & Safety

Knowing what is inside your vape and how to look after it helps you get the most from every device. This guide covers what Fifty Bar e-liquids contain, the nicotine strengths we carry, and how to charge, store, travel with and dispose of your device safely.

What is in the e-liquid

Vape e-liquids are typically made from a few simple ingredients:

  • Propylene glycol (PG): a thin, clear liquid that carries the flavor and gives the throat feel.
  • Vegetable glycerin (VG): a thicker liquid made from plant oils that creates the vapor and adds smoothness.
  • Nicotine: usually in nicotine salt form, which gives a smoother draw at higher strengths.
  • Nixodine: Fifty Bar Nixodine devices use Nixodine (6-methyl nicotine), a synthetic compound, in place of nicotine.
  • Flavorings: the blend that creates each flavor profile.

Fifty Bar Air, Fifty Bar DVRT and Fifty Bar Mini e-liquids are formulated in the USA.

Formulas vary by product, so check the packaging for the full ingredient list and warnings for your device.

Charging and battery safety

  • Rechargeable devices we carry charge by USB-C. Use a quality cable and a standard wall adapter or computer port.
  • Unplug the device once it is full, and never charge it unattended or overnight.
  • Stop using any device that gets hot, swells, leaks or smells like burning plastic.
  • Keep devices dry, and do not leave them in a hot car or direct sunlight.

Storing your vape

Store devices and pods in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children and pets. E-liquid can be harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. If e-liquid gets on your skin, wash it off with soap and water. If a child swallows e-liquid, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 right away.

Traveling with your vape

Under FAA rules, vapes can travel only in carry-on bags, never in checked luggage, and you cannot use or charge them on the plane. Check your airline and destination rules before you fly.

Disposing of used devices

Disposable vapes and pod kits contain lithium ion batteries. Do not throw them in household trash or curbside recycling, where damaged batteries can start fires. Take them to a battery or electronics recycling drop off, or to your local household hazardous waste program.

Who should not vape

Our products are for adults 21 and older only. Do not use them if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart disease, high blood pressure or diabetes, or are sensitive to nicotine. Talk to a doctor if you have any health concerns. Our products are not smoking cessation products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
